Our slice of heaven is a log cabin situated on a 39 acre farm with a gorgeous half-acre pond and a creek weaving its way across the property.

Life on the Farm

My husband is a fourth generation farmer, who works with his family farming several thousand acres of land. Corn and soybeans are the crop of choice.

We knew each other growing up, but didn’t fall in love until years later when I moved back home and bought the farm I grew up on.

Fancy: is a 13 yrs old quarter horse. I got Fancy when she was a baby and broke her to ride and barrel race. She loves people and being showered with attention.

Sunny: is the newest member of the family. He is a 13 yr old registered paint and loves being the only male in the barn.

Baby-D: is 31 yr old quarter horse and was my first barrel racing horse. She has so much heart. I competed on her for 2 years after she went blind in her left eye from cataracts.  Baby-D is retired from competition and now lives the life of luxury, pain free and safe.

Red is a 7 yr old Red Heeler. I found her playing in the middle of the road when she was only 4 weeks old. She is deaf and missing her left front leg. She is the most spoiled member of the family.

Heidi, inside the dog house, is a 11 yr old Australian Shepherd. She loves to heard the horses and stays by my side when I go horseback riding.
